When Spanish documents are intended for use in Spain, confirm whether a recognised traductor jurado is required. For Latin American documents, identify the issuing country and destination rather than assuming the same procedure applies. See sworn translation guidance.

Translations can be used for official applications, academic administration, commercial communication or legal work. The information needed for a reliable quote includes the source file, language direction, intended destination and any certification instructions. We recommend translating the complete relevant document rather than overlooking stamps, annotations or reverse-side text.
Regional considerations: Vocabulary, formal address and administrative terminology can differ between Spain and Latin American countries. Identify the receiving country and the intended audience, especially for contracts and customer-facing content.
Projects may include civil registry extracts, marriage and birth certificates, academic records, employment letters, bank statements and commercial agreements. Where a recipient needs a formal declaration of accuracy, our certified translation services explain the available approach. For specialist proceedings, see legal translation; for commercial documents, see business translation.
Accuracy and presentation: Spanish diacritics, compound surnames and place names should be represented accurately, without silently changing the names shown on the source record.
Different receiving organisations may require a plain translation, a signed certification statement, a notarised declaration or a translator with a particular appointment in the country of use. Those requirements are not interchangeable. Some Spanish authorities may specifically ask for a translation from a sworn translator (traductor jurado). A UK-certified version is not automatically the same document.
Share the written submission rules when requesting a quote. For overseas documents, our notarised translation and apostille-related translation pages outline potentially separate formalities.
Turnaround depends on document length, legibility, language direction and the required formalities; we can discuss these after examining the material.
Provide the document and intended use so that the appropriate format can be considered before you proceed.
